PRONOWIS workshop at the CWD


The PRONOWIS research project is developing sensor technology for early detection of WEC-critical operating conditions in complete wind turbine systems. The term WEC or White Etching Cracks describes a failure of roller bearing mechanisms characterised by white etched cracks in surfaces.

At the beginning of April, project partner representatives met at the CWD. During a workshop, they examined the geometry of the FVA Nacelle, considered possible interfaces to suitable sensors and determined where to position them within the nacelle.
