Virtual load sensing in wind turbine gearboxes: our colleague Baher Azzam will be presenting on the ongoing test campaign at the 4 MW test bench at the Center for Wind Power Drives as part of the online seminar series of the Center Smart Sensing Systems on 30th September at 11:00 am.
The tests involve designing, instrumenting and testing different wind turbine drivetrain configurations with the aim to develop a 6-DOF transmission input loads virtual sensor for wind turbines based on machine learning techniques.
